It started snowing overnight. This morning, so far only about an inch has accumulated.
At 5:30am we were alerted that school would be delayed for 2 hours. Aaahhh why?
Why a delay? Why not close school?
Is this just an effort to meet the number of days "required" for attendance? As long as the students step unto school property the quota is met?
A couple days before Christmas, (oops the "winter" break, not allowed to say "Christmas break") winter break, we were hit with a major snow storm. School closed for the two days prior to the start of the break. Those have been the only days used so far for snow closing. Don't they plan for snow days when making up the calendar?
I thought school closings were decided on road safety. But, apparently meeting the quota for attendance sometimes trumps safety.
