Virus

I caught a computer virus and was locked out of my computer for days. 
It was a real demonstration to me to how much I rely on my computer and the ability to go online.  Luckily I had other computers to gain access periodically but it was sporadic.  My iphone was also helpful but typing anything longer than a couple of lines gets tedious for me on the device. 
After I got my laptop "clean" I was only able to get online while being hardwired.  My portability was a new issue.  I began to think of just how much we take for granted.  It felt like when we first moved to the area where we are.  Being a new development, and construction was still going on when we moved, we lost power it seemed frequently.  I had to keep explaining to the kids why their vices were not working but they always seemed reluctant in accepting the explanation. 

I blame my lack-luster Christmas shopping on my access being interrupted.
