I am known for writing disgruntled letters to companies complaining of their poor customer service or complete lack of it. This time I had to write one commending good service to my favorite store - Target.
My mom asked me to get something for the kids for Christmas. I took my daughter with me to pick out her gift. During checkout, it seemed the cashier put the item in another bag, as they do with smaller items, to put in the bigger bag. Not until Christmas Eve when I was wrapping gifts did I realize her gift was missing. After searching everywhere my bags came in contact with from the car to the house, I figured it was left at the store.
We went back to Target on Boxing Day (humor me, still) and I explained the situation. The service person checked a log to see if it was noted, it was not, and without any hoopla told me to go ahead and pick out a replacement.
My daughter was quite pleased and for me the incident reminded me why I drive 35 minutes to shop at Target when there is a Walmart 10 minutes away.
