O.K. I think I do not dislike running as much anymore.
I got my feet evaluated and I pronate. I am so glad I went to the running store in town to try on shoes. I was about to buy the Saucony online that everyone suggested and got high ratings. Tried them and hated them. Felt like boots. Nothing against boots but I do not want to run in them. I got a pair of Mizuno . Wow! They are like wearing socks but with support. They are the most expensive pair of sneakers/running shoes I ever got but I wanted to make sure I was getting the right support and protection against preventable injury.
They were my surprise birthday present. (Yes after trying them on and picking them out) Of course it rained for days and I did not want to mess them up the first time out. Debated wearing them for my long weekend run, but decided to go for it especially since the lady at the store said they were the choice of her long distance team.
So I broke them in with a 4.3 mile run. They were great!
So here is why I must be warming up to running - I was excited to go out on a Saturday morning at 6:45 to test out my new shoes. What??? Yup, I was.
