During my volunteer day at my daughters' school, her homeroom teacher, (who is also her language arts teacher and her science teacher), asked if I wanted to help her with the advance students in the language arts class. The group includes my daughter.
In addition to me helping in the class she also "joked" that she would like to send her son to me for classes. (He attends the same school.)
I was a bit amused because when I met her at the open house before school started, she made a sarcastic comment regarding homeschooling.
Now she says she wishes she had several students like my daughter.
I told her that a big part of my decision to send my daughter to public school was to have more time for my sons who are first and second graders. I also told her that I continue to work with my daughter because I do not want her to fall behind.
