So, how is it I have been running for about two months now and I have not lost any weight? O.K. when I started running it was to improve my fitness level and move towards linking the body and mind. But, geez, losing a few pounds would be a nice bonus.
I don't get it. Every other day I run between a mile and a half and two miles. Twice a week I do Gilad's workout on Fit-TV. I do not think I have lost a pound. Sure a few pieces of clothing may fit a little different, but seeing the number on the scale move down would be a boost.
This is the mark in every exercise routine I start, where two months in I hit a good groove. I start to feel good about sticking to my routine but physically I see no real changes. I start to get discouraged because that boost is missing.
Everyone else after about two months usually see significant weight lost. What's up with me?
Hi Serchah,
ReplyDeleteCan I ask; are you measuring your body fat, as well as weighing yourself? I'm just asking, as i'm pretty sure muscle weighs more then fat.
I reckon you've just had to have lost some weight by now, but you've probably just gained more muscle as well. There is just no way that some one can do that much exercise and not see a difference! You'll have to get your measuring tape out, if you haven't already and start taking note!
I also have some weight to lose, and i'll tell you what really helps me; instead of reaching into the cookie jar, etc, make yourself a smoothie (banana ones are excellent, they satisfy my hunger far longer then other fruits)! Also, have you heard of Paul McKenna over there in the states? He has a few 'self help' books out and he claims his 'diet' (if you can call it that) is far more successful then every other one out there. I've read some reviews too on Amazon and those claims seem to be backed up.
Kudos to you by the way for sticking out with all that exercise, I wish I were that good, I hope you atart seeing some weight loss soon or those inches dropping at the least!
